St George and the Dragon
Today, we learnt all about St George and the Dragon. We read a story, watched about the days celebrations and then made our own shield to fight our very own dragon in class!
Pancake day
In DT/RE we learnt all about Pancake day and Shrove Tuesday. We then mixed, poured, measured and fried pancakes. We especially enjoyed eating them!
Let’s measure with cubes!
In maths, we have been learning all about measuring height and length. Today we used non-standard units of measurement to measure things around class. We discovered the cup and rubber was the shortest, and the table was the tallest.
Our final artwork
Well done 2M, your entries to the Seasider exhibition are fantastic!
Food from Egypt
In DT, we have been trying different foods from Egypt. Today, we explored and tried rice, Mediterranean couscous and spicy couscous!
Find the treasure!
In bucket today, we had a pirate visit! We had to ‘find the treasure’ and run away. Ahoy!
Sterling’s visit to the Museum
Sterling went to visit the Manchester Museum this weekend. As part of his homework he saw all the Egyptian exhibits! Amazing work.
Cutting skills
In DT, we have been practising our cutting skills, making sure we squeeze and cut along the line. Well done everyone.
Biscuit decorating
We enjoyed making our biscuits today, we then ate them whilst watching a Christmas film!
Reindeer food
2M loved making their reindeer food, ready to sprinkle on Christmas Eve!
Christmas Bucket time
We loved our Christmas themed bucket today, Christmas tree paint and Jingle bells!
