The hard working welfare team at The Oracle received a visit to inspect our food hygiene and kitchen routines. The amazing Mrs Pye works so hard and has quite rightly earned a 5* rating! Well done Mrs Jackson and everyone associated with running our KS5 kitchen.

Today 5M have had scones with butter and jam, focusing on our cutting and spreading skills. We started by cutting our scones in half and then adding the topping we wanted.

Tomorrow we will be hosting a fair trade coffee morning @TheOracle. This morning we have been preparing hot cross buns, cakes and fruit salad ready to sell.

We did it! Well done students and staff @TheOracle. We rowed over 21 miles - raising lots of money for Red Nose Day 

We have started our row to France! The students at The Oracle have come together to row to France we have been rowing and adding our scores together to see if we can hit the 21 mile total, let’s go!!

We have been gardening at The Oracle this morning. We have been planting, pruning, cleaning watering and weeding the outside area. Well done KS5

Today we have focused on photography within the art world. We have looked at various artists and discussed their work. We have looked at MC Escher and later focused on Jackson Pollock, we created our own Pollock inspired art work by throwing paint from a height on to a canvas. Here is our piece…

Today class 5M have been practicing making emergency services calls. We discussed what an emergency is, what number we need to call and what details we need to give to the operator. We also spoke about deciding on which service we require for each scenario.

Today a group of sixth form students have been volunteering in the secret garden at Watson Road park. We have been clearing out planters, tidying rubbish, weeding and planting new plants and flowers. 

Today we have given The Oracle kitchen a deep clean, we have practiced how to load and unload the dishwasher, wash dishes, wipe surfaces and re arrange kitchen equipment.

Today 5M made 2 choices for the healthy break snack @The Oracle this morning. The choices were lovely homemade vegetable stir fry or chorizo pasta, well done 5M!
