The Band comprised mainly of our 6th Form members today to perform in the Easter Assembly to the rest of the school.  We were squeezed into the corner as we often are but we made a big sound, especially with "Jesus Christ Superstar", the tune we learned in just a couple of weeks!

PCA Band was very pleased to be asked to perform at the Blackpool "Parent Forum" which supports parents of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. We played really well and received lots of applause. Well done to Laiba - it was her first performance out of school!

It was a Red Nose Day assembly at PCA and lots of Band members were taking part in the festivities but we still managed to put a small Band together to perform for the staff and pupils. Isha-May even managed to play her trumpet with her red nose on!

The pupils and staff at the school were very appreciative of PCA Band and gave us lots of applause every time we finished playing a tune.  It is a lovely, friendly school and we look forward to being invited back to perform for them again soon! Thank you for your welcome!

Every member of the School Band was taken to the Tower Ballroom to watch, and listen to, the National Youth Orchestra. Most of our pupils had never been to a 'proper' concert like this before and were amazed at the talented musicians on show - something for us all to emulate!

The ºÃÉ«tv contingent of BASSO did the school proud with our performances at the Winter Gardens for the annual Schools Alive celebrations.  The hard work we put in at rehearsals every Tuesday night paid off and we were all terrific. Well done, everyone!

PCA Band's first concert of 2025 was at the Winter Gardens for the annual Schools Alive Concert. We performed very well and received lots of compliments for our choice of tunes and for our musicianship. Our thanks go to Mr Woodhead and Mr Holt for playing along with us! 

The Band performed Christmas tunes and carols for all our friends at Woodlands School and, judging by the singing and dancing in the audience, everyone had a fabulous time! The Band loves this time of year so..... Merry Christmas, everyone!!  

The younger pupils at PCA put on a fabulous Nativity Play in front of a packed audience of their families and friends and were absolutely BRILLIANT! The Band was happy to take a secondary role on the day and we were so proud to give them our support.  Well done, everyone. 

Some of the cast in the upcoming production of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' visited PCA to promote their new show, together with their fantastic car.  The Band was pleased to perform the theme tune for them and we look forward to watching the show ourselves!

The PCA contingent of BASSO 'sleighed' a packed audience at the Winter Gardens with our festive tunes and it was lovely to see so many of our past and present pupils performing alongside adults and pupils from other schools. A great performance from everyone!

PCA Band entertained the pupils and staff at the school with our Christmas music and they entertained us with their wonderful hospitality and fantastic carol singing. Everyone had a lovely afternoon and we look forward to being invited to the school again next year.
