NCS- Brian House
In our NCS session this week we were told about the charity Brian House.
We were shown a video telling us about the great work they do for the poorly children in Blackpool and how they support the family’s.
We were then asked to draw and colour poster to advertise the charity and the work it鈥�
Lifeskills in the community
5I had a brilliant morning visiting the Community Hall at Watson Park. They helped out by sweeping, mopping and cleaning the room - all skills that they are developing ready for adulthood. Well done 5I!
Volunteering in the community
5B have been out & about volunteering in the local community. They have been busy planting flowers at Watson Rd Park with the help of our therapy dogs Molly & Daisy.
Out in the community
We went for a walk in our Oracle local community today. We headed to our local park to help with clearing & cleaning the community hut.
Hygiene Stop Shop
5J have set up their free Hygiene Shop for our students at lunch. All the products have been donated through our local community groups and businesses. Students are excited to be running the stop shop over lunch.

Out in the community
5B have been out in the community. Our aim today was to find out what the local gym to the Oracle offered. We were lucky enough to be given a tour, view some of the activities on offer & take leaflets home.

5B & 5M have been out in the local community. They have completed a litter pick in the local area surrounding the Oracle.
Fitness- walking in the community.
For our fitness session this morning we took a walk outside in the community.
Walking is a great way to keep fit and Blackpool is a lovely place to walk around!
Madame Tussauds Careers Event.
We were very lucky to have been invited to Madame Tussaud’s in Blackpool to learn about the job of wax modelling and jobs within the tourism industry.
We were able to ask lots of questions and were shown the studio where they model the waxworks and add the paint and hair etc.
