In our DT lessons we have been working with clay, we have made clay tiles and made designs on them.
This week we have painted our tiles ready for them to be fired in the kiln ready for finishing.

In our design tech class this year we will be making some cups and pots out of clay.
To prepare for this we used plasticine to practice making the cups and pots and how we can mold the clay when we use it.

Lazer cutter
4M have been busy making our form room look lovely. Mr M has supported all students in working the laser cutter, from designing to cutting the wood.

We got to help Mr. Miller with making the sets for the summer production.

Domino rally
We have been working so hard, arranging wooden dominoes carefully at the bottom of the ramp requires a lot of skill and concentration.
Ready, steady……..go! The ball goes down the ramp and knocks over the dominoes! It’s so exciting.
Scones
Fabulous skills used today making scones.They smelt delicious too.Well done 3S.
If I were an engineer
Today we have experienced being an engineer, exploring the function and design of different products. We’ve used materials from around the classroom to problem solve, and have been so inventive.

STEM day 1
Today was STEM day, we had been tasked by Mrs. Jackson and an engineer with a challenge!
We had to design and make a dog bed for Molly and Daisy the school therapy dogs, we then had to make a model of our finished design.
We worked hard with making sure Molly and Daisy had a comfortable鈥�
