Coffee Morning
We held our Fairtrade coffee morning today! We sold lots of different items that were all fairtrade such as sweets, cakes, books, greeting cards and cakes.
We raised £150 to go towards fair trade charities!

Watson Road Park
In our Volunteering session this week we walked over to the Watson road park to tend to the secret garden, this teaches us a lot about caring for our environment and our green places.
We swept the area clean, planted some new plants, watered the plants and flowers. We also filled the bird baths鈥�
National Citizens Service with Blackpool Football Club Community Trust
In our NCS session with BFCCT this week we looked at employability ad what employers would be looking for in potential employees (such as punctuality, looking smart, following instructions and good team work etc.
We wrote these on large sheets of paper in a mind map. We then discussed the鈥�
Eggcellent cooking
The students in 5I have had a brilliant cooking lesson, learning how to poach eggs.
Home cooking skills
Faith made a delicious 2 course meal as part of her Btec level 2 practical home cooking assessment
Hand treatments
This afternoon, KS5 students have learnt how to give hand treatments to clients. They prepped their work area neatly, moisturise the hands and cuticles and place the hands into thermal gloves. Students had a great time both giving and enjoying the treatment!
NCS
Yesterday we had a visit from Blackpool Football Club’s Community Group. Year 12’s have been given the opportunity to do NCS in a six week programme. Yesterday they played some team games and battled it out be win the overall session! There were many competitive students who loved challenging each鈥�
Jigsaw masters
Adrian, Vic and Ronan have been working on this jigsaw for the past week and have finally finished it! Brilliant success well done!!

Hair and beauty @ B&FC
Today, our KS5 students have had a brilliant day at Blackpool and the Fylde College! They learnt how to set up their make up station - making it look presentable and welcoming. They applied ‘scar wax’ and melted it onto the skin to blend it, making it look realistic. Using a colour wheel, they鈥�
