It’s a new week which means we are learning a new sound. This week we are concentrating on the sound ‘h’. Today we had a go at writing the sound. Well done everyone. 猸愶笍

We are superstars! We are getting much more confident identifying the set one letter sounds. We have learnt 16 sounds so far. 猸愶笍猸愶笍猸愶笍

This week we are focussing on the sound ‘e’. The children have identified the sound, identified objects that start with the sound ‘e’ and we have started to have a go at forming the letter ‘e’, using the phrase ‘lift off the top and scoop out the egg.’

We are learning a new sound this week and that sound is ‘f’. It’s a tricky one and we need to remember to put our teeth on our bottom lip when making the sound. Can you practise this at home?

Today we have been finding ‘b’ amongst other sounds that we already know. It was fantastic to see some of the children writing their own letter ‘b’. Well done everyone. Great sounding out again today. 

This week in phonics we are focussing on the ‘b’ sound. Today, the children have been identifying lots of objects that begin with the ‘b’ sound. We are working really hard at making the ‘b’ sound correctly with our mouths. Well done everyone. 

Since returning to school after Christmas, we have worked really hard at consolidating what we already know. The children are fantastic at identifying the names of each letter but sometimes remembering what sound those letters make can be tricky. We are super quick now at identifying the sounds鈥�

This week, we have been focusing on the letter sound ‘g’. We have watched and listened to a range of songs which include the ‘g’ sound. The children have been identifying lots of objects and animals that begin with the ‘g’ sound. Look at our fantastic letter writing - we are getting so much better鈥�

This week we are looking at the sound ‘p’ in phonics. The children have been identifying, writing and saying the letter sound ‘p’

We recapped the ‘s’ sound in phonics incorporating it into our Attention Autism session where Miss Brown ‘SPLAT’ the ghost. Look at the attention of all of the learners. Fantastic everyone.
