1H looks amazing in their world book day costumes!

1A LOVE sitting and listening to stories as a whole class and in smaller groups. The children often approach the class staff and gesture for stories to be shared. It is such a great relationship builder as well as building on children’s communication and social skills.

We have taken part in lots of really fun activities today, celebrating WBD. We have read stories, sang songs, used our senses to explore food and we have created our own poems. Well done everyone.

A huge well done to all of the children in 1A who came dressed as a word or their favourite book character today. Keep your eyes peeled for photos of what we get up to today.

2E have arrived in school wearing wonderfully colourful and exciting costumes for world book day.

During book week activities, 3S decided to transform their book area.

We made Gruffalo crumble biscuits

We have had a fantastic morning exploring the Gruffalo sensory room. Log pile houses, tree top houses, underground houses, animals and a muddy tough tray. We have loved it. The animated Gruffalo story was also projected onto the wall.

We have so many children in our class who absolutely love to read. The first thing Ashley does every morning is grab a book and sit and read. He also enjoys his trusted adults sitting and reading to him which is a lovely way to start the day.
